Service was above & beyond! Fabulous views, incredible staff, and the breakfast buffet was delicious! Can easily take an Uber anywhere you’d like to go explore, the resort has kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeling gear. There’s a reef just off the pier where we saw all kinds of tropical fish and even a turtle!
Such an amazing experience - the staff is so attentive and friendly. The environment and decor are so calming and well designed - great attention to detail. Very clean and it never seems crowded. The buildings are smaller and golf carts take you around. The breakfast buffet is impressive. Highly recommend!!
My fianceé and I stayed here recently for a trip to Cancun. The vibe that we were looking for was quiet, with enough at the resort where we would not need to leave the property. Nizuc absolutely delivered. Punta Nizuc is at the start of the hotel zone on Cancun, but is completely isolated from the strip. What this means is you don't get the party vibe associated with many of the hotels here. This is absolutely what we wanted. We stayed in a master suite in the Ceiba building, and the room with the private infinity pool was fantastic. Probably the best room we've had in a hotel in Cancun. Restaurants onsite are fantastic, but will be pricey - you're paying for good food and top service. I am a big runner, and there are awesome spots to run on-property on the cart roads or on the main road. We will absolutely be back to this resort!
Hotel has beautiful grounds from multiple pools (both family and adult only), two areas to swim on the beach, multiple restaurants, and so much more! Special thanks to Montse for helping us make the check in process very smooth and getting us situated! Food is amazing and staff are very attentive and respectful. The hydrotherapy spa is unlike any other and I really believe this maybe one of those best resorts in Cancun. Luxury is an understatement, the rooms are very spacious and overall I would recommend to anyone whether on a honeymoon or looking to go on a family vacation. 10/10!
Very respectful and professional staff! Montse was great at welcoming us and getting us situated in all of our rooms. The hotel is very peaceful and relaxing! From the room to the beach to the pool, everything is picture perfect. Staff work very hard to keep the hotel very clean, even cleaning the beach. Food is 10/10, very fresh, and is very flavorful. Came with my family of eight and everything was up to par. Great pools with views, both family friendly as well as adult pool for those looking to relax. Definitely a one of a kind resort in Cancun, would recommend to anyone!
wow seems like service is an issue at this hotel. I asked several people about this hotel, they all mentioned stunning grounds, beautiful rooms, and fair food, but out of 10 people I know, every single one of them made a comment about the font desk service, and issues with room assignment, and just generally being tended to. What an unfortunate situation, I wonder why their manager isn't doing more to solve this, as its likely causing them to lose more and more customers.

I checked in earlier today. Very mixed experience so far. Check in took a long time. Then we didn’t get the room we booked. Albeit the room we’re in is gorgeous, but it is NOT the room booked in advance. It’s 10pm and there’s a corporate investor party happening on the beach and there are no signs of it letting up soon. No sleep after a long travel day is exactly what hotel guests love. All the chairs are broken - watch your wrists and hands. The rooms need some maintenance - see pictures. There were stains all around the toilet when we came into the room. Oh and the hotel phone in my room doesn’t work, so I’m going down to the front desk more often than anyone ever should.
I absolutely loved this place and I'm looking forward to going back as soon as I can!!! Beautiful scenery, secluded, and huge. Everyone was terrific who worked there. Highly recommend!!!

The biggest issue? They simply do not care about resolving legitimate complaints. If you look at their responses to negative reviews, you’ll notice a pattern: generic apologies with no real effort to make things right. Unfortunately, I experienced this firsthand.
I booked a Luxury Pool Villa directly through the hotel, paying a premium under the assumption that booking direct would provide better service. One of the main reasons I did so was their advertised "Guaranteed Room Upgrade" on the website. There was NO mention anywhere that this was subject to availability.
Upon arrival, I asked about my upgrade and was told the next level up was sold out. However, I saw that a higher-tier room was still available. I requested they honor their "guaranteed" upgrade by bumping me up further, but they refused. When I asked if I could cancel and rebook through another site for a better rate since they weren’t keeping their promise, they said I would still be charged.
At this point, it was clear that their "guarantees" are meaningless and their approach to customer service is to say “Sorry” and move on without actually making things right.
To be clear—the resort is breathtaking, and if you want a beautiful, relaxing stay and don’t care about service, you’ll have an amazing time. But if you value honesty, trustworthiness, and customer care, this is not the place for you.

Incredible experience all around. We traveled with our 5 year old and my in-laws. The main pool is outstanding - warm temperature, the swim-up bar makes excellent drinks, and it never felt stressful like we had to stake out seats early (and we visited during peak season). The food was very good, especially Indochine. And where Nizuc really shines is their service - getting out of Cancun customs is a nightmare during peak season (plan on 45-180 minutes) and the Nizuc rep who met us outside the terminal immediately made sure we were whisked quickly into the car and well taken care of - and the exact same experience on the way back. If you can, book their airport transfer service and you will not regret it.
This was my fourth time visiting Cancun, and unfortunately, my worst hotel experience. We stayed four nights in two suites, each costing $1,400+ per night, expecting top-tier service, but it was a complete letdown.
• Check-in was a mess. The front desk didn’t even bother telling us how to get to our suites, so we got lost and had to go back. Only after pushing them did they finally send a golf cart.
• No basic amenities. For a hotel this expensive, you’d think they’d at least provide enough bottled water. We called three times in one night, and each time they said it was “on the way.” It never arrived until the next day—with zero apology.
• Front desk was useless. Out of ten calls, maybe two were answered, and this wasn’t even in the middle of the night—this was during the day!
• They don’t bother responding to emails. I emailed the hotel the day before my trip asking them to help book a Valentine’s Day dinner at La Punta. No response. They finally replied on 2/15, a full day after I had already checked in, just saying, “Sorry for the late reply.”
The only decent part of the stay was the golf cart drivers—they were super nice. But that’s about it.
For the ridiculous price, this place is an absolute joke. I’m never coming back and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Perfect location and the views are stunning, but hard to rate a resort highly when you pay for a private pool that was broken the entire trip. Also, hard to believe but live wires exposed in the pool as well (pictured). We notified the staff daily but every day nothing was fixed. Large disappointment for our son. We spoke with one of the night managers and was told essentially there is nothing he can do. On the plus, the building concierge was fantastic as were all the waiters at the restaurants.
One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Amazing property. Great location. The staff are warm and go above and beyond to make us comfortable.

I had an incredible experience at the Nizuc Resort, and a huge part of it was the exceptional service provided by Miguel at the lobby bar and beyond. From the moment we arrived, Miguel was warm, generous, and incredibly attentive, making us feel right at home. His kindness and hospitality truly stood out throughout our visit.
As for the resort itself, it was beyond luxurious. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and every detail, from the stunning architecture to the world-class amenities, exudes elegance and comfort. Whether it was lounging by the pool, enjoying exquisite dining, or simply taking in the breathtaking views, every moment felt indulgent and unforgettable.

Not only the hotel is gorgeous but the service very good. We went for my husbands birthday and everyone when an extra mile to make us feel like royalty. Dimitri Lopez, Ramona’s manager brought a birthday cake to my husband and a trio that sang happy birthday for him. Ana, from reservations helped me getting a gluten free birthday for my husband. She had the chef shop special ingredients for our cake. Regina, the concierge and her coworker who I unfortunately didn’t catch her name , were unbelievably helpful , on getting car for us last minute and getting me a box for a cake. I was one of those guest with a bunch of special requests and with a smile on their faces they exceeded my expectations to another level. Love this place!

INCREDIBLE!!!! BEST BEACH VACATION EVER! WILL RETURN NEXT YEAR!!!! Wow - we are just speechless and so grateful as our last day staying here comes to a close this afternoon and we fly home.This property is STUNNING and so Beautiful! The rooms are HUGE! The decor and layout of all of the buildings and pools are just exceptional! Outstanding SECURITY of property also with large closed gates and walls. 2 fabulous private beach areas - great family areas and private adults only areas too. Cuisine and beverages (even in room dining) is FABULOUS! THE STAFF MAKE THIS RESORT VERY VERY SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!! They are always smiling and so friendly and they LOVE all of their guests. THEY STAFF WAIT on you all day - Pool service, towel service, food and beverage service - awesome awesome !!!!!!!We liked the very nice golf cart service all over the property and sometimes it was great to just walk. Nizuc is IMMACULATE!! The Front Desk and Concierge were outstanding and always available to help make our stay or tours or excursion experiences even more special or convenient - they even helped us arrange private in-town transportation when we needed it that was very safe rather than just taking random taxi's around the city during very crowded times. We used the SPA, GYM, all of the restaurants, pools, bars, in room dining, laundry service, etc. The coffee here is wonderful too! We will return next year rather than booking a trip to Belize or doing another cruise. LOVE LOVE LOVE NIZUC!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kudos to Jonathan our Chechen Building Butler pictured below! First time that a hotel of the Westin category has had poor service from its workers, there is no comparison like the Westin in Lima, it is truly terrible in everything, it is not possible that one of its restaurants cannot be paid in cash
The charge they made to my sister in dollars was different than the one indicated in the reservation. After we stayed at JW Marriott, they gave us the option to pay in cash.

Absolutely beautiful resort! Nice clean rooms, gorgeous view. We booked 3 rooms for 4 adults and a toddler for 6 nights and spend over 20 000 CAD just for the rooms. We expected a five star treatment and service during our stay for the price. However, did not receive impeccable service that was promised in advertisements.

First unpleasant experience was when we booked a private airport pickup for my 72 year old father to get picked up from the airport. My father tried finding the driver, but they were standing very far from the exit with a little black square sign, so my father did not have any luck finding them and took the taxi. Even though nobody was picked up at the airport, the hotel charged us the full price for the pickup, once we explained the situation the absolutely refused to refund and amount for the inconvenience caused by low quality airport pick up service.
The second unpleasant experience was with one of the concierge team members (the guy in glasses). Our daughter really wanted to see the dolphins and the guy told us that due to rain there are no dolphins in Cancun due to weather conditions and we are interested we should call the dolphinarium ourselves to book. The next day we tried calling the dolphinarium to learn that they never closed and all the shows were as scheduled during rain or shine. Once we talked to the concierge team regarding the situation the guy denied saying that the dolphins are canceled.
Knowing how the team handles unpleasant situations this review will probably be ignored like those two times when we were ignored during our stay.
Overall, you are better off in Cabo San Lucas, their Forbes five star properties really are impeccable.

Despite the weather being bad everyday, the Nicuz Resort made up for it. The check in process was smooth and swift. The ambiance, aesthetics, staff, and food was amazing. I’m a very hard to please person when it comes to hotels but this place did not disappoint. Our room (penthouse) was never without everything we needed. Amazing view of the ocean, very spacious and nicely furnished. Plenty of towel's, turn down service nightly, always available butler and nightly treats😋. We only had dinner at the hotel 1 night, it was the Asian restaurant and the food was delish! We had the breakfast buffet every morning and everything was fresh and delish. This resort is nothing short of exceptional.
After an extensive search across Cancun resorts, this secluded getaway was perfect for our family vacation. The attention to every detail of the experience was incredible. I've been told I'm extremely selective with food, and this place has surprisingly incredible food made by a culinary trained chef. They gave us a complimentary upgrade to a much larger suite too. Couldn't be more thankful
The catering is sublime Steak House and Asian WoW! Service is everywhere, at all levels, from the front door to the room. The cleanliness of the premises is impeccable and the place is simply exceptional. However, the beach and the water are perhaps not the best and the prices seem very high sometimes since everything is a la carte. It is an exceptional hotel that is worth and deserves its diamonds. Very practical given its proximity to the airport. I will definitely return.
Nizuc is an exceptional resort with superb service and ambiance. Each restaurant offers an exquisite experience and cuisine that is delightful to the palate The hydrotherapy treatment and massages are a must for relaxation and rejuvenation. Nizuc is an alluring resort and spa with an ambiance that stimulates the senses and transports you to a whole new world. The staff could not be more friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I highly recommend Nizuc to anyone seeking an extraordinary vacation.
Best Hotel experience we have ever had. The building butlers, concierge, spa, pool/beach staff and restaurants… the service is WORLD CLASS. The resort was full and you would never know it because it’s so quiet, peaceful and refreshing. A phenomenal place to reconnect with nature without giving up the modern accommodations. We had an unreal experience here and will definitely be back. Thanks for the good times!
(**Day four here and we can’t get out of here fast enough!) Probably the most frustrating vacation in the past thirty years! From the unnecessary pomp & circumstance to the staff attitude whereby they have forgotten how much YOU are paying for the “experience”, to the constant pressure to “tip” and the fact that if you are not in the main building you will need the golf cart service to get you to and from the central area which begs for a “waiting period” each and every time you want to get somewhere, after only one day it gets to be a bit much!! Unfortunately we still have four more nights here. The main pool is beautiful but far too warm so any kind of cooling off from the heat & humidity is not going to happen here. I found the front desk staff to have a lackadaisical attitude at check-in which really was frustrating from the onset. Our thirty minute delay to have our room turned into ninety minutes and they really didn’t seem to care one iota! The food from the pool area to the on-site restaurants (thus far) has been overpriced and toned way way down for “the Americans”, meaning if tourists are looking for genuine Mexican food, cooked from the heart, you are not going to find it here! Spending over $5,000 US for four nights (for two persons) and then plan on another $500-$600 for food and the odd drink per day, it adds up fast and yet at the end of the day all you are left with is bland food, frustration & regret. Other than that the surrounding area is beautiful! Kudos to the gardeners.
