Excellent location, close to the island and to a shopping mall with multiple stores perfect for shopping. The facilities are comfortable and always spotless. The rooms are kept perfectly clean, with a pleasant scent, and upon arrival you are welcomed with a delicious drink and a disinfected hand towel. From the very first moment, the lobby gives off a warm atmosphere and a distinctive aroma that sets the tone for a 10/10 experience.
The service is exceptional. All the staff make an effort to make you feel at home, always with a friendly attitude and willingness to help. The restaurants offer phenomenal food made with quality ingredients, and the drinks are premium. The cocktails stand out for their flavor and well-crafted mixology. Great food, amazing entertainment team, and a fun, relaxing stay
We’ve just spent 6 days at Hard Rock Cancun and really enjoyed our stay.
Food:
The food was very good throughout the resort. Ciao (Italian) and Toro (Steak) were the standouts — excellent dishes and genuinely great pizza at the pool hut that rivals what we’re used to in Europe. Zen (Teppanyaki and Sushi) was fine, just not at the level of Japanese restaurants we’re accustomed to, though that’s pretty typical for an all-inclusive.
The daily food experiences at the pool whilst delicious, i found didn't cater well to me as someone who doesn't eat chicken, pork or beef. I eat seafood so assumed this was easy to cater to but understand the best practice around food safety, which is to be respected. Vegetarians and vegans can always eat at the pizza and burger bar, or the Italian or buffet restaurants at lunch.

Service was best at Ciao, where Samir looked after us brilliantly with warm, friendly service and great recommendations.
The breakfast buffet was consistently high quality, with a lot of the food cooked fresh and constantly replenished.
In general, the wait staff work incredibly hard. At times, basics like water took a little longer than expected, but this genuinely felt like a staffing-level issue rather than a reflection on the staff. Everyone we encountered was doing their absolute best.
Bars:
Bar service varied slightly depending on location. Bartenders were working flat-out, especially in the heat. As we’re from the UK, perhaps our tipping style didn’t command the most engaging service, but drinks were still good and consistent.
Beach & Pool:
The beach is clean, with no sargassum during our stay. The waves were a little rougher, but the flags clearly indicated safety levels.
The pool is big, clean, and where the atmosphere really is — the party is definitely at the pool. The pool bar gets busy on weekends when weekenders arrive.
Pool Service & Entertainment:
Pool service was outstanding. Special mention to Jesus, the pool waiter — endlessly friendly, always smiling, incredibly hardworking, and made every pool day better.
The entertainment team truly deserves recognition. Jair, Dian, Marco, Uriel, Aylin, and Christopher were fantastic — always energetic, super friendly, great dancers, and clearly working very long days (we’ve seen them going strong for 6 days straight!). They kept the vibe high, made activities fun, and were always happy to help. We appreciate how hard you all work — you’re doing an incredible job and made our stay so much more enjoyable.
Rooms:
Rooms were clean and comfortable. The in-room hot tubs could use a deep clean, but we didn’t use them anyway as we generally avoid hot tubs for hygiene reasons.

All of the staff at the Hard Rock Hotel were incredibly kind and welcoming, but JESUS at the concierge desk truly stood out. He was consistently helpful, patient, and genuinely thoughtful, always ready to guide us with anything we needed throughout our stay. His warm attitude made everything easier and added an extra touch of comfort to our trip.
We also tried several restaurants at the hotel, and FRIDA WAS BY FAR THE BEST. The food, atmosphere, and service there were on another level compared to the others.
Overall, the whole team was wonderful, but JESUS was really a great one—someone who made our experience even better. We’re truly grateful for all his help!

Loved our stay at the Hard Rock! The rooms were super comfy, the food was awesome, the drinks great, and entertainment was great! We enjoyed all the shows and the ceviche cooking class. Shout out to Marco, Carmen in entertainment. And Luis was the best by the pool always checking on us and giving a 5 star experience. Loved how much the resort had to offer but how accessible everything is. The views from the room were also great. And Ailyn was superb at every event!!!
Amazing staff! They were so helpful and made our experience at hard rock so perfect! Two staff stood out as the most helpful… we even had to take a photo with them! Jair and Marco are part of the entertainment department and they are both hilarious. It was a welcoming feeling

We are concluding our week at HR Cancun. Jessy and Hector 'over-the-top' butler's, attentive but not in your face. We have been part of the Palace / HR family for more than 20 years and always look forward to HRC. Jessy made contact with me 2 weeks prior to our trip and secured our events. Also, a huge shout-out to Frieda waiters, Carlos and Francisco who greeted us with smiles and coffee every morning. Angel, Fausto, Tony and Willy greeted us every morning at the pool with towels, personal greetings, fist bumps and excellent service all day. I love knowing each HR staff by name....and they knew ours on Day 2. Excellent customer service with a smile.

Loved the service and food was 10/10. Great pools, events and gym was awesome. Our room view was stunning. Room could use some brightening and better lighting, and the hallways need some tlc (hallway carpet was ripped and stained in a few areas) One of the elevators was out, initially this was a bit frustrating. Upon arrival we were greeted by doorman that took our bags and offered cool towels which was lovely but at check in, the line was extremely long with just one person checking in guests and no welcome drink. After about a 35-45 min check in wait we were greeted by salesman trying to get us to join a breakfast/sales pitch for 1.5 hour. They were extremely persistent which is a bit of a turn off especially after a day of traveling and waiting. Other than this we truly enjoyed the stay and the best highlight was the food! Also, the Foam Party was a blast!

Edgardo at the Ciao restaurant, he was our waitor and made the experience absolutely lovely informing us of all the options and advising on the food. Was an absolute pleasure to have him as our waitor.

And lastly I want to thank Jessy. So far she has helped arrange the room so I could surprise my wife. She decorated the room and made it look absolutely stunning (if you want to do something special for your partner she is the perfect person to speak with), she ensured that the room was prepared, she also arranged with the restaurants to ensure that they were informed of our diet requirements in advance, arranged a lovely day for us on the beach front and her service and support has been nothing but 5 star. The hotel was amazing! Everyone was so caring and attentive, and the restaurants were excellent. My son absolutely loved the kids club—the staff was wonderful: caring, friendly, and full of energy. They always had fun and engaging activities planned, and we felt completely comfortable knowing he was in great hands. We’ll definitely be coming back
Love this resort! Have stayed at the Cabo location as well but this one was better in my opinion. My wife and I have enjoyed all of the activities, food, pools, and will definitely be back. We also attended the Foam DJ Pool Party on Thursday hosted by Melissa, Fernando, Chris, Johnny, Omar, Uriel, and Ailyn- and my wife and I danced the whole time. One of the highlights of our trip for sure. Highly recommend letting loose and enjoying all the perks of the resort.

The staff at Hard Rock Hotel Cancun were great—very friendly and welcoming. The food was okay overall. Lunch was solid with classic options like pizza and burgers, and the seafood was a nice touch. Dinner had great restaurant choices, but be prepared to wait 1–2 hours during peak times. Breakfast was the weakest meal, and the dining area was always hot and uncomfortable.
The Roxity Kids Club was the highlight for us. Being able to drop off our 4-year-old gave us some quality time to relax as a couple, and our child really enjoyed it. Abby and Andy were awesome host and deserve recognition.
Big downside: the timeshare sales pressure. From check-in to check-out, we were constantly approached. It was extremely persistent and made us uncomfortable. Sadly, this alone would stop us from coming back.

This has always been one of our favorite resorts because of the wonderful staff who work here. Especially our butlers. Our butlers were Roberto and Victor. They were always attentive and accommodating. Always available and willing to help us with whatever we needed. They made our stay extra special. They are the best butlers.
Great hotel staff are brilliant can’t do enough. We booked here for 2 weeks but it’s abit miss leading as you can’t book the restaurants as it says online you can so some nights the main restaurant we couldn’t get in as was 2 hours+ wait and the kids were falling asleep after waiting so long. Other then that really the hotel is sound great atmosphere lovely friendly staff can’t do enough for you. Would recommend booking your day trips down the town as the hotel charge a lot more on most trips. Over then that we had a boss time just few things we didn’t like
Entertainment was great. We had Christopher, Johnny, Fernando, Diana and Omar were so into the movie trivia that got everyone at the pool was participating. We had a great time.

The Resort is great. The service and attention from the employees is excellent. The food is delicious and the drinks are very well done. The views from anywhere facing the beach are perfect. I just wish the hotel lobby and restaurants weren't so warm. I think the A/C needs to be lowered a little more...
Jessy & Hector did such an excellent job taking care of everything we wanted to do and try here at the resort! We enjoyed all the food and service provided here at hard rock. We enjoyed many shows, lots of time at the pool & beach, and excellent entertainment in the lobby for everyone to join. We will be coming back for sure!

I really enjoyed my experience at the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun, especially because of their Kids Club. The space is very well thought out, with everything in place for the fun and safety of the children. There are several playrooms designed for different age groups, as well as a pool for the little ones. What I particularly appreciated is that the entrance to the club is supervised and secured by staff, with a locked door. This allows parents to relax by the kids’ pool with peace of mind while their children are safely inside.
A huge thank you to Laura from the Kids Club, who did such a wonderful job taking care of the children and allowing parents to enjoy the sun and their day. She took the time to do the kids’ hair, do makeup, and play with them. Her kindness and attention truly made a difference. A great family-friendly experience that I highly recommend!

Overall the service wasn’t bad, the food was really good! I had a great time with the entertainment team especially Jonathan, I joined his bracelet making class and had such a good time, he’s the reason I have 5 stars!Wish he did more sessions 🙂

The hotel itself was nice. The cleanliness of the hotel is fantastic. But I am here to write regarding our Servers Carlos, Francisco and Jose. These 3 gentlemen are exceptional. Victor and Ernesto are amazing! They did a great job throughout our entire stay. They made us feel extremely special. Always booked us seats and made sure we were taken care of. Best people on this resort are Ernesto and Victor. Also Janet waitress was amazing! Loved her!
Celebrate with me as I recount an unforgettable birthday experience! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was beyond my expectations. My room offered breathtaking views of the ocean and the pool area, setting the perfect scene for relaxation. Imagine my delight when I discovered a surprise waiting for me: a delectable chocolate cake, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a bottle of champagne thoughtfully gifted by Andre. The excitement didn’t stop there! I joined the dynamic pool jump and kick class led by the energetic trio, Fernando, Pedro, and Chris, making the day even more extraordinary. This celebration is one for the books!
I had the pleasure of taking a fitness class with Juan at the Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun, and he was absolutely fantastic! His energy was contagious—upbeat, happy, and motivating from start to finish. He made the class fun and easy to follow, even for someone who doesn’t typically do group workouts. The entertainment staff is amazing! Fernando, Christopher, Aileen, Angie and Jonathon made our trip so much fun with all the activities and their great energy! All the staff is very welcoming especially the bartender Reynaldo at the Diego bar who took care of us all week! The staff at Zen were incredible with the host and servers remembering our names and reservation times. The spa massage was also amazing and relaxing. We had an awesome stay and would recommend!
Roberto and Ernesto have made our stay so wonderful. Everything that we could have imagined needing, They were always a step ahead of us. Whether it was for scheduling us dinner to finding us a chair around the pool to bringing us stuff to the room . Every question that we had they were always on top of the answer for us. I cannot imagine our stay without them. We will be returning this time next year and we will definitely ask for them. Anyone that has them for assistance will have the most wonderful stay that is imaginable. Over the time of the say, they ended up being more of special friends and family to us than someone who is assisting us with our stay. I look forward to coming back many more times and and seeing them.

Beautiful place! We stayed for about 9 days. Only about a 15 min ride from the airport! Very close to the mall and to the convenience store. Service from the cleaning staff, the poolside staff and restaurant staff were amazing! The staff are so kind here! Shoutout to Victoria and Chac!! The food was 9/10, our room was very neat and tidy when we came in. The only sucky part was that our hot tub that was in the room, the jets did not work. When we arrived and after checking in, we were able to get into our room. The bartender Emmanuel was the best bartender ever , he was always so kind to me and my partner. Making us super yummy drinks and surprising us with the best cocktails ever. Frida, the buffet, was far the best buffet I've ever had!

The bartenders at the main bar by the pool were always attentive, ensuring our drinks were flowing. Hector from security was friendly and made us feel safe while enjoying the pool and beach area. Blanca in vacation planning was incredibly helpful in organizing our activities.

The resort was nice, but the vacation planners totally dropped the ball. My family emailed for months to set up a birthday package on my birthday, but when we got there, they said there was nothing available despite our prior booking.

Eliseo Was one of the best performers I’ve ever seen he was amazing. Made our experience so much fun he’s very personable and very helpful.
I don't think it's worth what it costs, old hotel, rooms with a musty smell (of a person), the jacuzzi had a bad smell. The hot water from the shower never comes out really hot. Terrible management in the restaurants, you have to wait literally hours to be assigned a table since there are no reservations, it is as they arrive and they manage to serve you. Some, most of the staff are not very friendly or helpful, I understand that it is high season and they are full but they must be trained to handle frustration. Diana, Ailine, Jordi and Kevin rescue the evening's event, setting the mood. Cristina at the check-in was great, she supported me a lot to speed it up since she was trained and they closed the windows when it was my turn, she helped me to be able to check in.
Day one, yesterday, the hotel is quite old and run down, the room is not functional with children and is quite ugly. We went out to dinner and they didn't serve us, they reluctantly told us that there was no more space, we had to go out to dinner. The weather freezes, we asked for it to be repaired, they came and they didn't, we slept badly, this morning they woke us up (after sleeping badly thanks to the weather) to offer room service, later we discovered that the call is because they can't cope the restaurant, long line, not enough food for everyone, literally no service…. Again
Day two: we left the hotel all day, we arrived at 8 to listen to kareoke?? It can be heard super loud throughout the hotel!! Someone thought it's a good idea to have someone out of tune sing at the top of their lungs so the hotel can hear it!!
Now if I must admit one thing about the hotel, alcohol is abundant here, and I suppose this helps many forget how bad the rest is! In other words, there is not always food, but alcohol is never lacking!! Today the waiting time at the Italian restaurant was 40 minutes. and in the one called bull 1 hour!! This should not be a family hotel…
Conclusion the hotel is run down, old and dirty, and offers all inclusive that it does not have the capacity to fulfill, if your idea of vacation is to have a drink all day and do nothing else, this is the place, but be careful

3rd floor staff is amazing! Nestor, Oscar, Jesus Principe, Emily and Ely made us feel like family. They went above and beyond for us and our lunches! Everything was excellent!!!!!!! They are excellent!!!!!!

Margarita and Omar Alejandro provided the best service!!! All of the wait staff were attentive but these two made it seem like we were the only group at the bar all 5 nights. I have not experienced that level of service anywhere. We had a large group and we even moved to a secluded table outside and they followed us out there, checking on us even more than we needed them to. I’ve been to one other all inclusive in Cancun and this one had WAY more activities and shows, although the food was hit or miss.

Li was the BEST bartender!! He was attentive, fun and very knowledgeable of his drinks. I kept going back to him every day at the Dive Bar. Wily and Edwin were the best pool men! They always took care of us. I made sure to tip them heavily. They both deserve a raise. They always made sure we had the best pool chairs! I truly appreciated their customer service!
