Amazing place to stay at. Service and food was amazing, and since we’re legendary members we were treated like royalty truly. Victor Rodriguez at the food district was great attended us well on our last morning here. Pools are great, didn’t really go to the beach since we’re in the seaweed season mid-June. Also during this trip we were VIP legendary members and now this time we upgraded to Hall of Fame members now. We were able to get a butler this time around and Randy was amazing to us. Enjoyed my time here and can’t wait to come back.
We spent 7 days at AVA Cancun, along with our three children, their spouses, and our grandchildren. Everything was exceptional, clean, very customer-centric focused, always asking us if we needed any service or help. The cleanest restrooms I have ever encountered in a hotel/vacation setting. Restaurants and food service were the exquisite. Service at the pool, pool bar, and food service area was also exceptional, staff was always asking how they could help us or if we needed anything from towels, to beverages to food, to moving umbrellas for more shade.
I have 2 constructive comments:
1. Our room (S675) was at the extreme end of the South Tower. While we did see the ocean from our balcony, we also saw and smelled the seaweed and construction activities, which h are not pleasant. I recommend either reducing cost of room rate for this area of AVA or informing guest ahead of the exact view. Requesting travel agent to book your rooms in North Tower or South Tower closer to Lobby is also another option.

As we were vacationing with our 3 grown children, their spouses, and our grandchildren, all the children's activities are in the North Tower, and it would have been beneficial to all being together in the North Tower. Walking each day from the end of the South Tower to the North Tower (3/5 mile) was A LOT of walking.

Our stay has been great. Both the food and service have been incredible! The steakhouse and French restaurant were some of the best restaurants of all the resorts! The staff at the member pool were very attentive and fast. Our butlers AB and Fran were the best. Checked in very frequently, always made sure we had everything we needed and were always so pleasant and fun! We look forward to coming back
We absolutely loved our stay at the AVA Resort. Everything was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. Every restaurant was exceptional for dinner and the lunch and breakfast buffets were superb. Our lunch favourites were the bay cafe and the pizzas from the buffet! All of the staff were so lovely all throughout our trip, especially Candelario at breakfast. All staff deserve a special mention they are brilliant. We loved the coffee shop and ice cream places too! Rooms were also amazing with housekeeping in the morning and turn down service in the evening! Couldn’t fault our stay we hope to come back
What a great hotel! Everyone was friendly and gave wonderful service. We had time for only a short weekend stay, but it was well worth the trip.. My daughter and I were celebrating our birthdays. All the food was amazing, from room service meals to poolside to the Black Iron restaurant. Both Elsa and Karla went out of their way to welcome us and give us information. Karla also arranged a little birthday surprise. Everything was clean and beautiful at Ava. Plenty to do for all ages but we mostly enjoyed the pools and food. Looking forward to going back another time!

The Legendary Pool Staff—Jorge, Omar, and Jeremy—were phenomenal. Their energy, friendliness, and constant attentiveness made our pool days unforgettable. One special moment was when they surprised our bride-to-be with a custom sand-written towel message—it was such a thoughtful and fun touch that meant so much to us!
Christian at Member Services was also a standout. He made our stay stress-free by helping us arrange day passes to Hard Rock Cancun and securing dinner reservations. His professionalism and kindness really stood out.
At the South Buffet, the Omelet Maker greeted us each morning with our usual order already in the works. That level of personalized service made us feel truly valued.
We also loved the water aerobics instructor at the Legendary Pool—she brought so much charisma and energy that we actually looked forward to working out!
Marlene at the Italian restaurant gave us exceptional service and made our dinner one of the most enjoyable of the trip.
Lastly, a big thank-you to the South breakfast buffet wait staff, who were incredibly accommodating for one of our guests with food allergies. Their attentiveness and care were truly appreciated.

It’s always easy to post negative reviews or experiences and often the positive feedback is never shared. That is why I would like to share my recent experience I had with Ava reservations.I had tried to book reservations with a travel voucher I had. The response time was 3 business days. After 5 business days and no response I called in and was connected with Luis, the customer care manager. He was absolutely amazing! He helped with ensuring my reservations were taken care of and also went the extra mile to offer assistance with my airport transfers and any assistance I needed with excursions or dinner reservations. He made me feel like I was more than just a number and my vacation time was as just as important to him as it was to me. I cannot express how important that was to me and how thankful I am for all of his help. My family and I are looking forward to our stay and have Luis to thank for going above and beyond to make our trip to AVA possible!

Love this hotel! All inclusive, kid and adult friendly. The buffet was delicious, always open and had great quality food with lots of different options to choose from. All the restaurants were beautiful and lots of different cuisines to choose from. The service was amazing, all the staff were friendly and always asking us if we needed anything at all times. The rooms were all facing the ocean , and were very clean and pretty. Shout out to Alejandro and Roberto at the buffet (called the plaza max), for giving us exceptional service! They were smiley, friendly, and very attentive to us the entire trip. Another shout out to Fernando who was always available to drive us with the golf cart around the hotel and for being so friendly! Will definitely come here again!
This is a brand new resorts with over 1800 rooms, each room facing the beautiful sunset and sunrises, which is rare!
Food court 24×7 was amazing and has great quality in each and every item you pick, from coffees to margaritas.
Lunches by the pool, hot pools by the extreme south and north ends of the hoteld are marvelous.
Wings, mac n cheese , pizza with soft and hard drinks until 6pm.
And fancy restaurant serving lunch by pool that doesnt require fancy attire to dine by the pool is awesome.
People are so friendly and appreciate even 1$ tip,, doesnt mean you only give a 1$, but just saying...!
Restaurants that you would book for the night are not all that awesome but they are decent and good quality dine-in experience.
Minami, Veranda italian are good.
Night pub within the south tower shouldnt be missed !
Front desk is very helpful and they have 24x7 visitor services.
Room service available if you want to stay in your room and dine in.
Size of swim pool is about 3 miles long...and has opportunity for kids to experience kayaking for no extra fees in the pool.
Restrooms are super clean and modern, very nicely maintained.
Spa is good too but i do not recommend as the therapists that i attended was ok.
I highly recommend hair salon, they did a great job hair wash, blow dry and styling on the last date night of our vacation period. Five star !
Overall quality, maintenance, service and food were awesome !

Best part of the hotel were Ariel and AB who hosted us the week we were there! They went above and beyond to help with reservations, answer questions, and even arrange childcare for us. The hotel is large so they are still working out the kinks and hiring staff so the service by the pool areas is much slower. The biggest con of the trip was the kids area. While Maria was SO SWEET, they were often at capacity and there was a waitlist. The activities were also very limited. The beach water is full of seaweed and I did not see anyone swim in it... The pools are awesome though! Overall, the hotel and spa are beautiful! Would come back in a few years.
I would recommend Ava resort to anyone! Unbelievably close to the airport, but you feel like you are in a total oasis. Our room was incredible (3 bedroom suite), with beautiful sunrise views every morning. We spent every day relaxing poolside, with plenty to drink and eat. Service was excellent! Every day we would take a break from the pool to spend a little time at the beach. We enjoyed paddle boarding and the pool activities. Food was fantastic. We especially loved the Mediterranean restaurant and the waiters there! Visited the spa twice, and it was exceptional! Kids area and slides are great, and not in your face. And of course, I can’t forget our incredible butlers Edgar and AB who made our vacation magical. We didn’t have to lift a finger. Prompt responses, super professional, and totally made our vacation! They even brought my father Coca Cola off the resort!!! Thank you so much! Planning our next visit for September!
Just finishing our first stay (and first all inclusive) at Ava and it was an amazing experience! Only about 10 minutes or so from the airport, a lot of things for both teens and adults to do. They booked excursions for us and it was so easy! Beautiful pools, very clean, great service- the staff was wonderful! Jair at the pool and laser tag absolutely made our stay! He’s warm, friendly, fun and it was a pleasure to meet him! Also, our daughters had so much fun with Luci in the teen lounge! Our only complaint is that the bars closed at 11:00, so if we wanted a drink after that, we had to go to the nightclub- a little too loud for those who are over 30!

He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless, securing Bali beds for us every day and making sure everything was in order. With young kids and an early morning arrival, Victor arranged early check-ins for us, and he even helped coordinate a later check-out to align with our airport transportation.
As part of our Legendary VIP package, we received complimentary airport transportation, which was a great perk. The resort itself is incredibly accommodating, particularly for families with young children. Housekeeping is provided twice a day, and anything you need, the staff goes out of their way to provide.

We recently stayed at Ava resort. We had an amazing stay, mostly attributed to our butler team of Ariel and Victor, and our beautiful room. Ariel and Victor made sure that we had everything we needed. They made sure we had the wine we liked in our room, and anything we needed during our stay. Ariel was continuously asking if we needed anything, and willing to do whatever we needed to make sure our stay was perfect .Our food at every restaurant was great. Our waiters at the pool: Erik, Leonardo, Paola, Enrique, and David were fantastic. The service at the pools was amazing.

No day or evening programs, the resort is Preety much dead , in my seven day there I did not see a single program at the pool, there are no heated pools or hot tubs in the pool area. there are 3 bars in the pool area but they are close most of the time. It was 545 pm and we wanted a beer by the pool but all three bars were close when I asked a worker they said the outside bars close at 6, when I showed them it was only 545 they said oh well you can go to the bar inside to grab a beer. The food at the buffet is alright, nothing special. Pizza was soggy and awful, only thing good at the buffet was the burger and fries, They want you to book the restaurant in advance and no walk ins but when we were in the restaurant noted they were Half empty each time.
My husband and I stayed at Ava Resort from Jan. 17-24. This was one of the worst traveling experiences we have ever had. The hotel is beautiful but needs a lot of work. The majority of the staff were rude and do not communicate with one another.

Regarding the room, when they did show up to clean it, they did not restock the toilet paper, coffee or mini fridge. When I called down to request these things, I was told they would bring them and nobody ever showed up.
The location of the hotel is very far from anything else and they did not have many extracurricular activities planned. When we had to take a taxi to town, it costs us $120 round trip.

The AVA hotel, promoted as a novel place with a great gastronomic offer, is far from meeting expectations and compared to the best hotels in Cancun.

We loved everything about Ava Resort, but the highlight was the Mexican restaurant Copal. The food was incredible, and the service was top-notch. Our server, Rodrigo, was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and truly made our dining experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Check in took over an hour, the main entrance we thought was the back entrance because it looks very unfinished. After check in we walked a good stretch to our room in the north tower, with tired kids it made it seem even longer, which fine. Someone commented on this feeling like a cruise ship I agree, the north tower is unfinished so we have to walk to south tower daily since most restaurants on our side is closed. You can tell they’re severely understaffed, food takes a long time and hotel and restaurants are not as clean as you would expect from a luxury resort. They only have one stand up paddle board, everything closes at 10pm except for one taco shop. We later found out that on the first week of December they had a lot of staff quit due to their Christmas bonuses. This would explain why the resort is in such disarray. We ordered food at the pool and waited 2 hours, food never came. We weren’t able to get reservations to the steakhouse for the whole week we’re here. We’re staying in a 3 bedroom suite, the shower drain is clogged and the balcony tub is gurgling up insects and chunks of who knows what. This place should beg and plead for their staff to come back otherwise they will continue to receive poor reviews. I for one will not be coming back, for the price we’re paying for this we feel robbed. The New Years Eve party, none of us are out dinner (fillet and lobster) the food took so long that after it came and we left the only thing open was the taco shop. You can’t even use the beach, you can sit in the sand but not really get in the water. We’re here for another 2 nights and tonight we decided to eat out of the resort.

We waited 6 months after the hotel opened before we visited it hoping that Ava would have all of the issues cleared up, but we were disappointed. A lot of the staff was new and untrained, couldn’t answer our questions and some lacked motivation.
We are Hard Rock HOF members and some of the benefits that we receive at other Hard Rock resorts, unfortunately do not apply at Ava. Additionally, the staff does not seem to be empowered to make decisions to improve the guest experience. One example was at Bao restaurant. We requested and were seated at the sushi bar. There were four of us and one did not eat seafood. We asked if he could order off the restaurant menu instead of the sushi menu and were told that we would have to sit at a table (and not the sushi bar) to order from the restaurant menu. There was no one else at the sushi bar the whole time we were there. We spoke with the manager and he told us that he could not deviate from the rules. We were allowed to do this at HR Cancun and HR Cabo and were disappointed that Ava would not allow it.
There should be a consistent level of benefits and services at all Hard Rock resorts. It’s unfortunate that we will probably not visit this resort in the future, especially since we were initially so excited to stay there.

My husband and I visited AVA for 10 days. We were hesitant based on other reviews regarding the noise and construction.IGNORE THOSE!! Everything about the resort was amazing. The food was top-notch, service was impeccable, and the facility is just breathtakingly beautiful. I want to mention Ernesto at Copal, Jose at the pool, and Brii and Roberto, our assistants. Each of the four of them went above and beyond to make our time there memorable. They were very kind and thoughtful and paid attention to everything we could possibly want. When we come back, I will be looking for them specifically.
It is the perfect place... you will find an impressive lack of respect on the part of the staff... especially Mr. González who is the head or supervisor of the concierge area of the AVA Hotel in Cancun. In complete apathy, inconsideration and high regard, Madrismo serves the clients, making black and meaningless comments to resolve the complaints he was presenting... be careful... he asks to speak with the guests... It reminds me of the meme... if you already know what I'm like, what's next...

2.- The entire interior of the hotel is full of dust, that fine dust that is released when polishing and/or patching construction parts... as I mentioned, the hotel continues under construction... this is harmful for people sensitive to allergies... and complaining is useless …unless you want to choose the most intelligent of Mr. González's answers which he quoted. “YOU PUT YOUR CHILD'S HEALTH IN DANGER”… Mr. González admits with his comment that the AVA Resort Cancún Hotel is DANGEROUS when staying there….
3.- Staff with a lack of training... as is the case of Mr. González, who does not help but only frustrates the guest with his service attitude totally lacking in the famous CUSTOMER SERVICE. And above all his star comment (with great fanfare) “WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR WITH THE COMPLAINT?”,, I felt like I was in a gringo Stand Up place… with that black humor… followed by the reaction of the condorito comics “PLOP !”
4.- I never got a response regarding the compatibility of connecting a Play Station 5 with the hotel's televisions... I went through 3 people, without a response to the request.
5.- Quality of the food products they use in the pool... be careful here... if you travel with children like in my case, be careful of the snacks they offer you... since my son was sick to his stomach because of the snack that he received in the pool. pool area. And the consultation is a separate charge from the hotel…. It's either that or take him to Cancun to the hospital.
I made my complaint in writing... I highly doubt that Mr. González will pass it on to management or transcend it... be careful... they are for improvement... if customer service bothers you, you have to look for better options to dedicate yourself to.

What was redeemable were two ladies in the lobby who were always aware of my son's health when he got sick with his stomach. And the doctor who treated him.

I felt very good at the resort, everyone treated me very well, their service was excellent, from the entrance the treatment was courteous and friendly, my butlers Rafael and Plutarco, they guided me and helped me with everything I had, they always answered and answered my needs. They made us feel welcome and at home. I thank you for your excellent treatment and always reminding me that it is my vacation and that I enjoy it to the fullest.
I was at Ava for a family trip and I have a picky eater (2tears old), BUT Juan the manager of the morning shift was AMAZING!! We asked for strawberries constantly and he went above and beyond to get them for my baby!! Ernesto from the Mexican restaurant did the same!! All the employees had amazing customer service, the kids entertainment, room service, housekeeping, pool attendants and life guards. Can’t wait to go back once they are fully open.
This hotel is not finished, it works only at 30%, no activity, no beach, no disco, no horrible music, it looks like a convent. I don't know when it fully opens, what it will be like, but now I don't recommend it, you have to walk kilometers and kilometers, carry a roller skate. The workers are speechless. 10 out of 10 excellent service, the pool guys do everything possible to make you feel good. We went for 7 days and the next day we left for another Hotel.

The location of this hotel is very ugly, there is nothing in particular far from everything And the worst thing is that there is a manager who does not allow Ubers to enter And they are associated with taxi drivers so that we pay high prices
I know this is a new location and they are still trying to figure this out. Maybe they should have waited until more things were available to the vacationers. Since the hotel isn’t complete they should have provided more entertainment to make up for everything not being complete. The liquor at the bars were not 5 star I will give it a 3 star. Then I noticed they served different liquor on the inside then at the swim up bar. By day 2 I figured out that I needed to request grey goose, Tito, kettle one or any premium liquor. Some they had it and sometimes they didn’t. Then I figured out they sold vacation plans with Butlers service that they don’t offer online. The worker were all very nice and was working with what they were given. Bed turn down every night.
There were a lot of leaks from the ceiling throughout the building. Needed to be careful not to fall. Only 2 shops open for shopping. The pool is amazing but you cannot go to the beach at this time. I think maybe later but not sure. Lots of walking to get to everything so if you have mobility issues may not be the resort for you.

I booked the hotel knowing that they are just opening up, there is a lot of construction going on we expected that it's not totally ready. We also knew that there is a tropical storm right now. However, when we arrived, after driving through all of the rain and dealing with the hectic Cancun airport... the experience immediately changed when we arrived. First person we met was Gustavo, he could tell we were worried, honestly, he could sense that we were stressed out and was receptive of that. He made us feel better about the stress from when we landed and reassured us that now that we arrived, everything is going to be okay. He literally changed our mood, and made us feel that our vacation would be saved... AND IT WAS!!!! After that moment, throughout our stay, everything turned around.. despite the bad weather, he suggested we visit downtown for the rain, check out plaza las americas, the restaurants in parque de las palapas, we even went bowling at Maya bowl. He suggested us things to do that are not exactly what you plan on doing in Cancun, but we were provided thoughts for a Plan B. We made the most out of a tropical vacation with a tropical storm. Everyone else at the resort was super helpful, but honestly, the moment we arrived and met our concierge, he was receptive to how we may be feeling. When this resort is done, and when the weather is good, it will be the best... I'm confident in this because of how their staff received us and made us feel better about our vacation in inclement weather...
It's still a long way off, and I don't think there will ever be a beach.
We have been staying at the new AVA resort for the past few days now. Prior to coming here my family and I were flooded with offers, emails, and flashy amenities from this very resort. In excitement for a fun vacation for this summer, and in celebration for my son’s hard work in graduating high school and getting into a great college, we decided to book the AVA. Because of this, we invited my son’s friends who also worked hard to both graduate, and worked so hard to earn enough money for this trip to this vacation with our family. This booking happened approximately two months before the hotel opened. The supposed “grand opening” was set to be on June 1st, and our family and our children’s friends were all set to go. The day that we landed in Mexico, and came to the AVA we were welcomed with nothing but confusion, lack of customer service, and a lack of activities. Like all the other hotels part of the Hard Rock that we went to, we were expecting fun music, and hallways bustling with excited people, a beach to have fun on, and stores and restaurants flooding the halls. We got the opposite. Instead, the sound of jackhammers echoed across the hotel, the beach wasn’t even open, and wasn’t set to open any time soon, and there were only 5 out of the promised 14 restaurants available. The people who checked us in refused to do simple things, such as give a key to our 16 year old daughter to enter our room, as she was considered a “child”, but gave a key to our son and his friend who are both 17, and like my daughter, are children. After a conversation, they gave our daughter a key to her room, but suddenly our son and his friend’s key scanner stopped working. And while there is obviously nothing one can do control the rainy weather those days, the bare minimum an all-inclusive resort can do is provide some form of entertainment. Even the DJ they hired those days simply played music on his phone and left to go do something else. Disgusted by this hotel’s evident disregard for it’s customers, we decided to walk to the lobby and speak to the LCV about any possibility to transfer hotels or get a refund for their false advertising, as we have been a member of that club for the past two years now, and don’t want our money to go to waste. We decided to talk to them one day into our eight day stay at this hotel, and continued to talk to them until the fourth day at the hotel when we realized that they have been doing, and will continue to do nothing to help us. It seemed as if they were only giving us the time of day as an attempt to stall until our last day when we cannot even transfer and have to pay for their falsely advertised hotel in full. Despite that, every time we talked to them we gave them all the options we could, calling the hotel we wanted to transfer to, and asking for availability, asking for a refund, and asking the services at the AVA resort to transfer us to Hard Rock Riviera Maya through their own services. It got to the point where the children who came on the trip had to talk to them, and soon enough our vacation was not a vacation, and a pleading to leave the hotel. They couldn’t comply, or even have the decency to look into any of those options. Their response, which they considered the only option was to reach out to customer service, despite every other person we talked to telling us to reach out to the Legendary Club services at the resort. We have been nothing but disappointed, appalled, and scammed by the AVA resort, and are fed up with the people associated with it. Now, children who worked so very hard to come have to pay in full for a resort which couldn’t even put in half the effort which those kids put in to make that money. All because they failed to mention anywhere that their “Grand Opening” was truly just 1/3 of the hotel being available, and still that 1/3 is barely functioning.We wanted to transfer to a different hard rock resort but the answer was a simple no.

I booked our vacation for next week. We were promised 14 restaurants, beach access, Big Lagoon ,night clubs ,number of bars etc.... but just came to know that none of that is available and only 15% of resort is open. My problem is it’s not marketed this way on any of their social media or website. When I booked my vacation four months ago that was never shared. I had the expectation of experiencing everything they say would be open. I think it’s fair to be transparent with those who have pending reservation’s especially with teens, since it’s not very family friendly ready. When the resorts own staff say it shouldn’t be open yet that’s a red flag.This is ridiculous, misleading people and cheating. Wondering if there are any activities like live music fun, entertainment planned like other HR resorts to Is it just going to be a boring whole week by just sitting by the pool and eating just at those 5 restaurants with no people and fun around. This is not how we thought our vacation would be when we planned this for our Sons graduation present. I tried calling to see if we can change the resort to HR Cancun and got no meaningful help. No sure what to do at this point. Is this how you treat your members? I would not recommend anyone book at this resort. Be aware
