Matches are played in a structured, small-sided beach soccer format designed to keep games fast-paced and competitive.
- Format: 5v5 (4 field players + 1 goalkeeper)
- Roster: up to 7 players per team (5 on the field, up to 2 on the bench)
- Substitutions: unlimited (rolling substitutions allowed)
- Coed requirement: minimum 2 women on the field at all times
- Goalkeeper: may be any gender
- Match length: two 20-minute halves
- Halftime: 5-minute break between halves
- No grace periods — all matches start on schedule
- Teams must be ready to play at their assigned time
- Multiple matches are scheduled per team throughout the tournament
All match times and schedules are organized in advance to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated tournament experience.
Coed Balance & Substitution Rules
- Teams must maintain a minimum of 2 women on the field at all times
- Substitutions must preserve the coed balance (women replace women, men replace men when needed)
- If any player is injured or unable to continue and no substitute is available:
→ The team must continue with fewer players
→ Substitutions may not violate the coed requirement - If a player receives a red card or must leave the match:
→ The team must continue with one fewer player
→ The team must still maintain the minimum coed requirement at all times - Teams unable to maintain the minimum coed requirement may be subject to match forfeiture
Tournament Standings & Advancement
- Win: 3 points
- Draw: 1 point
- Loss: 0 points
- Teams are ranked based on total points earned during group play
- The top teams advance to the semifinal round
- In the event of a tie in standings, the following tiebreakers apply:
- Goal difference
- Goals scored
- Disciplinary record (fewer yellow/red cards)
