I'm leaving a 3 simply because; location, location, location.Terrific service (thank you Daniel and Beatrice), truly beautiful rooms, and we had a great view of the far, far away ocean. But if you're not a golfer, who doesn't mind high-winds, there is no reason whatsoever to be this remote. It's a 30 minute ride to town via their transportation. You have no choice but to use what they offer, and the hidden fees and additional costs come as part of the package.International cuisine in the Anica restaurant left little for a feeling of local cuisine, it was more like eating in a city in New York and very pricey. We knew it was expensive going into it, Cabo is very expensive, but the costs really kept coming in from all over, even with the inclusive meal plan...do you enjoy sparkling water? That will cost you.But to top this review off, and the most important point of it all, if you are looking to book their Land's End location, make sure, triple check, that the room you're booking from their website is actually at Land's End. This is how we ended up in the very remote, windswept location of Pacific Dunes.

Wow! Incredible, from the moment you arrive the views are wonderful, it is a mix of desert and incredible oasis and its facilities are spectacular. The room we had is the best I have ever stayed in, super spacious and comfortable, the food was pretty good and the prices didn't seem expensive to me.

I had the all inclusive. Good amount of restaurants and drink spots. Spent most of the time golfing and hitting the hot tubs. Really liked the cabana bar and the pastor tacos
Awesome place. Rooms are amazing. Members only with decent pricing

Be wary of this establishment. They have employees at the airport as you leave that impersate other businesses to try and get you to come out and visit this resort with cheaper golf rates. However, they assure you that the deposit is fully refundable and they will return your money to you, and then when you cancel they refuse to return your deposit. They stole $50 US dollars from us this week and refuse to return it to us even though it was ensured by the employee Jesus and his supervisor. They impersated being Nexus employees that work with WestJet vacations. They even went to the lengths of walking us to our shuttle pickup and showing us a picture of the nexus employee and shuttle that we need to get on to go to our resort. And they are not nexus employees.Horrible way to represent this resort having people scamming travelers as they leave the airport. Despicable.

Rooms are amazing and very modern. However, it's in the middle of nowhere and is always windy. There has been talk of the 'River Run' being built, but that's the same thing that's been said year after year. And there was hardly anyone there. How can they keep bleeding money...I'd be surprised if it's still there in 1-2 years.

A racket. This place is pretty, but it blows. They wanna milk as many dollars from you as they can and it's gross. For instance, they have 2 pickleball courts. They are always empty. If you wanna play on them, they demand $17 per hour. Didnt bring a racket with you? Looks like you're gonna pay $30 bucks! I'm already paying a ton to be here. Are you gonna charge me to use the pool next? They might as well be, because the hot tubs close at 8pm. Better eat dinner real early if you wanna tub after dark. The food and drink prices are high enough to make a San Franciscan wince. Food is fine, but certainly not for the prices they charge.Wanna do laundry? There's a self-serve laundry machine that will cost you 7 dollars. To do it yourself. 7 dollars. Why.They don't allow ubers past their gates. Only taxis that charge literally 3x more ($45 to downtown instead of $15. I checked). And why would they not allow Ubers? I wouldn't be surprised if the hotel is taking their cut somehow.Views from the resort aren't great. This place feels dead.AVOID this resort.

Just spent 8 nights there with my wife and 2 teenagers. We had a good family time overall and we want to highlight the friendliness and service of most of the staff. But we will never come back as too many negatives to this resort. The very good:- The pool/entertainment staff/bellboys is very nice and helpful- The pools are super warm- General cleanlinessThe good:- the room/apartment is spacious, nice, pretty modern design compared to most American hotel standards- The view on the pool/ocean is very nice, you can see whales from your balcony (far but you see them)- After we checked-in they tried to get us to book a breakfast for a timeshare presentation. We declined and that was it for the week, no other tentative to sell us anythingThe not so good:- Overall, feels like the resort is struggling financially- While the resort is not so old, some stuff in the rooms feels already worn out and not fixed (cabinets)- shower is leaking all over the bathroom- Strong humidity smell in the room- No basic amenities like salt, pepper, coffee.. to start the week knowing it is hard to get anything there. Not even shower gel (only shampoo/conditioner), just a hard soap…- While the pool staff is super friendly and helpful, they are in very limited number - expect to wait at rush hour- The resort is not fully constructed, the surroundings are “OK” but not 4 stars…- the pools are super warm but also pretty small/narrow. Do not expect to play water volley-ball there. You can do so in the artificial lagoon but the water temperature is much fresher...- Only 2 restaurants on site so limited choice - 1 basic one - not bad, rolling menu every day but really basic cuisine and still expect $30/40pp excl. drinks - and 1 higher end - >$100pp excl. drinks (you could make it for $50 but most nice mains are super expensive like $70/80 steaks or $95 lobster). There is also a Deli.- There is a Free shuttle to the sister resort in the city but it runs only every 2 hoursStill a good 10/20mn walk from the marina and the shuttle will not stop anywhere else. If you plan to do grocery shopping while in town, forget, you are not allowed to bring them back in the busThe BAD- My wife and daughter paid $50 each for a cooking CLASS - ended being a 1h20mn demonstration by one of the restaurants cook of how to do shrimp ceviche - roughly cut onions and tomatoes - and Fajitas - the stove did not work so the cook disappeared for some time and came back… with the food all prepared. No cooking at all. Super disappointing when you expect to share an experience and a total rip-off. Not even a drink offered. Had to pay extra.- Paying is the theme in this resort - everything is ridiculously priced (and we are from the Bay Area!)- $7 for a Coke, $14 Pinada, $17 for a cocktail (just a shot of alcohol, some prepared mix and tons of ice), $23 for a baguette sandwich, $7.5 for a croissant, $60 for a mediocre wine- Interestingly, there are 2 happy hours but we only discovered it after 5 days as it was never mentioned nor advertised…- Tempted by the All-Inclusive? Nearly $500 per day for 2 adults and 2 teenagers- The onsite market can cover basic needs like some drinks, cookies, chips but completely overpriced like$8-10 bags of chips- Want to indulge yourself with a massage? $150 for an hour…- If you wonder how they can charge such ridiculous prices it is simple - once you are there you are kind of stuck. On the map it looks not too far from the city but most of the time it is a 35-45mn ride due to traffic.- You can get to the city with the free shuttle but if you need to get there early (like a 9am diving class) or do not want to wait 2 hours for the next one (last minute plan) then your only option is a taxi - $44 one way as Uber is not allowed to pick you up, only drop-off. I went to the reception to express my frustration ($44 for 14km!!!). The manager just pulled the Resort rules (the one you sign when you check-in with tons of stuff you never read) and told me - “you signed it so you knew”. He was right but what an attitude…

Ok most complaints seem to be around their aggressive timeshare sales techniques. I work in sales so I understand the tactics. What I absolutely dispised about this place was not the timeshare pressure sales but the misleading information around any and everything. The best thing the property has going is the pool staff! Jorge and David are amazing they could walk off property and work at the four seasons and be star employees. Upon entering checking in we arrived at noon which was early but they kept saying oh just go have a drink go have some food it'll be ready in an hour. We heard that 4 times before we finally got in the room around 4. I would have preferred them inviting us to use the facilities not begin emptying our walletWe attended various events hosted by the property that were communicated as one price then charged at another. When confronted about the "all food and drinks included " marketing around their Mexican fiesta the manager said to me. Well that's the point. When I recieved the bill for the drinks we had. Upon entering the fiesta we were greeted by wait staff asking for a cocktail of our choice. The manager Brandon had he audacity to say to me, well that's the point. Were going to charge you if you don't take the time to confirm what is included in the free drinks and not. The deception techniques work unfortunately to say, I did complain and they removed some drinks, and said well we will do this but the waiter will have to pay now which may be good for you but will leave his family out food for the coming days. The technique I have no respect for and is finally so greasy. The pool staff were the only saving grace to the property they were so outstanding I can say enough amazing things about them. The sunsets are to die for. And the fact you can see whales every morning is unbeatable and keeps me from leaving 1 star. I know I'm not alone in my feeling as when we checked in a guest was heard screaming I'm going to be calling my lawyer about this. The property is a pass for me. Which hurts me to say cause the staff we built a relationship was outstanding.

very nicest resort. The rooms are large, clean, new, and have a great view. The sheets and comforters are all very clean with daily house keeping.Family friendly resortRoom service is very fast. Every meal at the restaurants on site was perfect. The quality of meats and ingredients is top notch.Conveniently located off the main road that runs through downtown Cabo San Lucas. Large supermarkets are right down the street along with all the restaurants in downtown Cabo.

Pacific Dunes is a little bit out of the marina area of Cabo heading north. The golf course was nestled around the resort built into the desert, hills and sand. The views were exceptional and the course was in great shape. My wife and I both had services at the spa in the same hut which was right on the beach. We can’t wait for our next trip!

Such a lovely hotel. Peaceful, away from the noise of other resorts if you're looking for that type of vibe. It is my first time at this resort and I love the professionalism, elegance and top tier service and accommodations. My family and I are here celebrating birthdays, and we began talking with Raymundo at the concierge weeks ago. Raymundo and all have been very lovely and helpful thus far. We are in a luxurious two bedroom suite with two and three quarters baths (third bathroom with sink, toilet and standing shower only). On the first floor with patio straight out to the pool area. Beautiful. Seems comfortable and to be a relaxing experience. I'll submit more to this review at the conclusion of the trip.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service provided by Nelson and Orlando during our visit. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made a significant difference in our overall impression of the restaurant and resort. Outstanding resort with extreme quality features, rooms and pools and friendly and helpful staff.. Anica restaurant is outstanding both food quality and service. Don't miss an incredible massage at their studios. They have excellent individual airport transfer service that allows you to cut through all the typical-Mexican airport chaos. My only negative is the location. Being on the West side of Cabo, the resort gets a lot of nonstop cold Pacific winds in June. We just returned from a week there and we needed to buy jackets and wear them even during the day. The other restaurant at the resort has awesome specials every night but the restaurant has ridiculously bright lights and feels more like a doctor's office then an evening restaurant and there are flies everywhere. They def need to work on some issues with this restaurant.

Was hesitant...but turned out good.We got introduced by a very good salesman at the airport. Paid $250usd for 3 big exxcursions for the whole family, plus 2 small bottles of tequila and 2 blankets. We understood we were doing a 90 min presentation. The resort entrance and welcome was great and professional. The Breakfast was great and clean and we all ate alot and were satisfied.Sales presentation was good, not really too high pressure. After we said no a couple times sales manager came to educate us more. After they verified our gifts they took us to another room.In the other room there was another company who showed us a lower priced offer. No preasure to buy. Then they took us to the check out area...called for the excursions and that was it.After all the seeing all the scam and negative reviews I almost canceled. But we prayed about it end went. We had our own car. It turned out good. Just finished our free clear bottom boat and glad we didn't cancel.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience related to Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes Golf and Spa. After arriving at the airport, I was offered discounts on excursions and a day pass to the resort, only to discover it was a ploy to lure me into a 90-minute timeshare pitch for a half-built resort. Despite already having booked my stay at Secrets, the day pass was not honored. This ordeal, including travel, wasted about 4 hours of my time. The deceptive practices and broken promises made this experience highly frustrating. Avoid this resort if you value your time and honesty.

If I could give a zero star, I would. Be aware of the people at the airport. I spoke with a vendor named Carlos who works for Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes Golf and Spa.As soon as you arrive to Cabo airport and after you clear custom, get outside ASAP. The area after the custom with the “information sign” is known as the shark tank area. These people are good at their job and they will try tell you they are from the hotel and will help you with “transportation”, but then you’ll notice another guy will try to sell you some excursions. It appears to be good price until you realize they are trying to rope you into a timeshare presentation. They will claim to be your friend, do not trust a word coming out of their mouth.Cabo is a beautiful place, but people like them are vultures and will try to suck every dollar out of you. Do you research and be safe. Stay away from Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes Golf and Spa.

Best escape vacation. Never rested so well with sound on waves on beach. Never ending Whale watching during migration. Can't swim in the ocean due to currents but relaxing on the beach with a picnic basket was awesome. The staff was wonderful, friendly and courtesy.

Second trip here. Beautiful accommodations and wonderful dining. This resort is away from the city, which is either good or bad, depending on what you expect from a trip to Cabo. Free shuttle service is available, but while you are here, it’s all about poolside day drinking. Staff is terrific.

Absolute best vacation ever, thanks to everything amazing at the Grand Solmar! You can't beat the location at the end of the Baja Peninsula, better than anything else in Cabo and beyond. Delicious food with the freshest lettuce and produce on the planet served with five-star presentations. The best part was the friendly staff who felt more like friends by the end. Special shout-outs to Brenda, Eli & Rosa at the massage spa, servers Cristal & Vanessa and the hostess at La Roca, the cabana crew led by Juan with Adan & Abraham, restaurant crew Alejandro & Elizabeth and everyone else at this beautiful resort. Amazing!

The resort units are amazing with spectacular views. When we went in 2020 with the meal plan, our trip was remarkable. However, our most recent trip in December of 2022, breakfast and lunch were pretty good and the dinners were all awful; we had burned or tasteless food that usually took 90+ minutes of waiting. Even more frustrating is that the meal plan price (all-inclusive) went up 30%. I will not be returning - there are way better options in Cabo.

Beautiful new resort still building out. Great for a quiet family vacation. Food was good with nice presentations. The rope swing and water slide is loads of fun. The kids loved the entertainment staff keeping them busy with lots of fun gamesThe Golf course is amazing with 2 “comfort stations” all included in your green fee. They are full kitchens on hole 8 and 14.The all inclusive program still needs figuring out. The staff are too busy worrying who is all inclusive and who isn’t even with wrist bands your asked to sign receipts for every order and that keeps them distracted entering room numbers instead of serving people. Sushi restaurant is in the water tower. The fishing is world class.

Did not see rooms. It's so far out of town. Not in a good location. I was disappointed with the swimming area. There are several things for the small children to do near the lagoon. But the lagoon looked so dirty. Some of the bottom of the pool looked awfully green and slimy.

The property itself was great. The pool, the lagoon, the grounds, the cabana - all of it was great. The food service was deplorable. Not the food - it was good. But the service was so bad I had to talk to multiple managers. We were here for a week and not one time was our food order or drink order correct; not once. Food had to be sent back, drinks re ordered, waiting for the food was painfully slow as well. I suspect they are having the same labor issues as the rest of the word but given we did the all inclusive plan we were beholden to eating every me on site and it sucked! It really is the last resort so you have quite a distance to get to either cabos. The shuttles were handing being every hour on the hour but not being able to use ride share was a bit of a nuisance. we did all the activities and they were great to. Concierges were extremely helpful for all requests. It really just came down to the Food and Beverage service.

I came here for a special occasion and left sadly disappointed. A diamond necklace that has sentimental value was stolen hours prior to check out by hotel staff on my last day. When I inquired about it with the hotel I was dismissed and they blew me off. I found bugs in my room daily. I feel having to close out and pay when you’re at an all-inclusive resort is over the top and takes away from the experience of relaxation.I also do not feel like they tell you what’s included in your all-inclusive package. It’s not a good deal because we still have to pay for small amenities such as workout classes, and activities around the pool, etc. the food on the themed nights is mediocre and the steak I ordered at the restaurant was burnt and very tough. The staff is pushy with sales and pressure you to add on to your timeshare. The front desk refused to let us check out an hour later.I have been an owner in grand Solmar for many years and this trip I have to really bad taste in my mouth. I do not recommend this location or the properties. They also have data leak issues because my information was sold to third-party companies. I receive calls weekly asking me to sell my timeshare and have even been scammed out of money but that’s a whole other review for another time. Do not stay at this property and if you do please keep all valuables with you at all times.

We stayed at the Grand Solmar for a week with our two small children, ages 2 and 4. We stayed in September during the off season, the resort was very quiet and restaurant reservations were not needed during any part of our stay. The Good:The property is spectacular. The rooms are among the nicest we've ever seen. Someone did a wonderful job constructing these units. The attention to detail was remarkable. The food was good (poolside) to excellent (Anica Restaurant). Dinners were much, much better than expected. I enjoyed every meal. The pools are very nice. The Less Good:Beware of timeshare sales personnel disguised as concierge. They were polite but handed us off to a much grumpier person who would book us our tours as we paid full price to avoid the timeshare sales pitch. The waterslides were not operating for a few hours. Our kids weren't pleased. The splash park was down for 24 hours. As said elsewhere, this property is 35 minutes from the Cabo Marina. Our wristbands gave us access to the sister resort which was also very nice and had a younger, noisier crowd.Another more kid-friendly restaurant would help. Our kids didnt appreciate fine dining like we do.The lagoon was rather murky so we didn't try the rope swing.
