No, we can secure you a very competitive quote to Hotel Xcaret Mexico, without the need to attend any presentation.

Upon landing at the Cancun international airport, and getting your luggage, you’ll be greeted with purple signs to Xcaret, in which you’ll be asked to sign-in, and wait for a few other travelers heading to the resort. You’ll then be invited to board the air conditioned bus that takes you to Hotel Xcaret Mexico.

The bus ride from the airport to the resort takes about 50 minutes. The bus itself has outlets to charge your phone, laptop, and other electronic devices. Once you get to the actual resort, you’ll be asked to go straight to the check-in line, and avoid the luggage traveling on the bottom of the bus, you’ll get this luggage, once you’re actually in your suite.

Once you’re in the check-in line, you’ll wait your turn to check in. Once it’s your turn at the registration counter, you’ll be given the option to upgrade your room(if available) at a discounted rate. You’ll also be assigned a concierge that will lead you through the hotel, to your room.

Once you’re in your hotel suite, your concierge will go over some valuable information with you in regards to the resort, and help answer any questions you may have. They’ll also help you plan an itinerary to get the best out of your visit. By this time, you should also be receiving the rest of your luggage, that was traveling with you on the bottom of the bus, from the airport ride.

The resort has over ten restaurants, most of which are free, with only one or two being paid. Since these are very popular all inclusive restaurants, they are always busy, so seating might be very limited, depending on the time of the year that you’re visiting. It’s strongly recommended to speak with your concierge to see if they can book you a reservation at any of the restaurants you want to try. Another alternative would be to enter “El Mercado”, which is a buffet style restaurant with plenty of delicious food and drinks.

Aside from great restaurants, the resort also includes free tours to experience the natural wonders of the region, such as Cenotes (natural underground caves with water), and taking tours to ancient Mayan ruins such as Cobal and Chichenitza.

In addition, the best thing about staying at Hotel Xcaret Mexico is that you have access to all of their adventure parks for free. These adventure parks, put Disneyland and Universal Studios to shame when it comes to fun and entertainment for the family. You’ll find everything from riding ATV’s and zip-lining through the jungle, to snorkeling and relaxing in the ocean. Most of these theme parks have all inclusive buffets included, and the food is without a doubt world class. You’ll find something for everyone.

While you’re there it is strongly recommended to go see the Hotel Xcaret Espectacular Show (which is also included with your stay at the resort). It’s a world class show that shares the overall story of Mexico, but it’s done in a very spectacular way. You’ll absolutely enjoy the show, which is about two hours long. Afterwards, just take the nice 10 minute boat ride, back to the resort.

The checkout process could take a while, so make sure you plan accordingly. Once you’re ready to check out of the hotel, you’ll first want to go to the registration counter where you had originally checked in, and sign the checkout document, this is in case you have any pending debts. Once you check out, you should be able to return to your room to pick up your luggage, and then board a bus to the airport. Make sure you inform yourself of the times the bus goes to and from the airport, so you don’t potentially miss your flight.

You’ll board the bus that heads back to the airport, where you’ll thank the Bus driver, and make your way through the airport gates, and head to your airline check in counter, and proceed with the rest of your trip.

Pure. Paradise. ✨ From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping straight into a postcard. The resort is absolutely stunning — every detail is gorgeous, every view looks like it belongs on a travel magazine cover, and the service is flawless.

The spa? Heaven. The food? Out-of-this-world good. Every meal was an experience — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether we were relaxing in the pool, exploring the grounds, or floating into a bliss coma at the spa, it was unforgettable.

This is one of those rare places that truly exceeds the hype. 10/10 would happily move in. 🏝️🌿

This was such an amazing experience! I have celiac disease and the staff is very knowledgeable and at every restaurant the first thing they ask is about allergies at the table. The waiters brought me special food when I asked for it and at every buffet if the person I spoke to wasn’t sure if it was gluten free they would bring the chef out from the kitchen. Great place for celiacs, great service and food and such an amazing place for families. We will be back!

No stars. Horrible experience. Hotel management staff, particularly Gustavo, were incompetent and uncaring. Refused to assist us with lost luggage. Caused my brother and our family undue stress and physical harm from lack of help trying to locate luggage with medications and medical equipment. Just unbelievable. Please don't go... or go back.

Absolute perfection. This was by far the best hotel I have ever been in my life. I had luck that it was off season for a week, so I had zero queues at any restaurant or for anything. The bus terminal inside the hotel makes it easy to go to the xcaret parks. People were friendly, the food is amazing in every restaurant, which by the way you have 18 to choose from! The entertainment for the kids was amazing, a lot of new stuff for all ages, the waterslides were awesome with no queues and brand new, pools everywhere, a beautiful natural river you can swim or kayak, built in beaches were amazing too. The hotel is so huge you have to walk like 20 min across it. but it is such an architectural wonder that it becomes a pleasant walk. It is not cheap by any means, but you really feel what a 5 star (5 diamond) should be. I was very impressed! And would revisit it again with pleasure. The new part was still finishing so you could see some workers busy but it did not matter or impacted the visit as it is just details now, they almost done. I recommend everyone, families or not to come here. The mix between this paradise hotel + all Xcaret parks included (make sure you visit them all and Xenses was the best one) makes this the perfect relax/adventure holidays of a lifetime. My kids said it was their best vacations ever, and for me - a person that hates resorts - I have not felt I was in one for one second! You have to be there to understand it. Congratulations to the amazing staff and the landscape architects and interior design crew! Perfection!

I will never return to Hotel Xcaret and would never recommend it to anyone. From the moment we arrived, the experience was awful.

Check-in was a nightmare. The line was ridiculously long, it was hot outside, and it took about an hour just to reach the desk. When we finally got to the front, they told us our room wasn’t ready for hours. On top of that, they claimed the room we booked — a king bed — somehow “wasn’t available” and tried to stick us with two separate beds. It felt like a complete scam because the only way to get the room we originally paid for was to “upgrade” for an extra thousand dollars.

Once we finally got into the room, it only got worse. There were cockroaches and flies in the room. The food on property made me so sick that I got food poisoning multiple times, which ended up being so bad I missed my flight home and had to stay an extra day. The restaurants were just as bad with service — servers pressured us into buying shots that turned out to cost $60 each.

On top of all this, the resort made no effort to welcome us or even show us around. We were just dumped in our room with a map and told to figure it out ourselves. Meanwhile, I saw influencers on the property who were given tours, welcome drinks, and a totally different experience simply because they were being paid to promote the resort.

The reality is: unless Hotel Xcaret is paying you to come and make TikToks, it’s not worth it. Complete waste of money, time, and peace of mind.Overall, a complete scam and a horrible experience.

This is our third stay at Xcaret. The first two stays in 2019 and 2021 were lovely. This time was a mess.

We were placed in Phase 2 of the resort despite never requesting it. We didn't even know there was a Phase 2 . The website and app have no information on it. It's basically doubled their capacity, but they are not ready for double the service needs.

Check-in took over an hour, and we had to insist on being helped by available agents on the “check-out” side. Checkout also took an hour, during which we were charged a no-show fee for a Teatro del Rio reservation we never made.

Regarding experiences, I submitted the request form five weeks prior to arrival with no acknowledgment or follow-up from the hotel. I emailed and called multiple times with no response until someone in reservations finally forwarded my call. I called reservations because I knew someone would answer. At that point, I was told I was too late to make reservations (I wasn't too late, they just never handled my request sent five weeks earlier)—yet I was still charged for Teatro del Rio. It took 30 minutes to resolve that, and we nearly missed our airport transfer as a result. The insisted I prove we didn't make the reservation. I had to dig through all my emails to show them their team had been unresponsive.

It’s clear that Phase 2 is not ready for guests. No department answers the phone. Room service took 2.5 hours, and I had to walk to the front desk (10 min walk) just to confirm they had received the order—who, in turn, couldn’t reach room service either. Housekeeping missed entire days, left us without towels or shower gel, and took 36 hours to deliver linens for the sofa bed. There was no replenishment of water or snacks unless I chased down someone with a cart in the hallways. I resorted to taking water and snacks from the gym or restaurant.

The biggest issue was the complete lack of responsiveness. No sense of urgency. For the rate we paid, we expected a far higher level of service. Frankly, I’ve received better service at hotels charging $200 a night. This experience was extremely disappointing—especially given our prior positive stays.

Our patio was unusable due to mosquito swarms. We asked at least a dozen times for help, and no one came. This outdoor space was a key part of what we paid for, yet we couldn’t enjoy it. My daughter had over 50 bites. I have 30.

The in-room Apple TV/streaming didn’t work. IT service eventually came, but the update took eight hours during which the TV was completely inoperable.

Signage throughout the property is poor, and Phase 2 is not represented on the hotel's website or app. There was no way to find basic information, and the concierge, front desk, and guest services were of no help. No management presence was felt anywhere.

This stay was a complete waste of money. I will not return, and I will advise others to avoid it as well. I’ve worked in the hotel industry for over 25 years for top luxury brands. I know what excellence looks like. The opening of Phase 2, the lack of marketing, and the utter failure in service delivery are unacceptable—especially at $1,500 per night.

Our family of nine stayed six nights at this hotel. $1500 a night for each room. I really like staying here because it is very spacious and has many parks to go. The food is also very delicious, but unfortunately, the reception desk disappointed me right from the moment I arrived. The attitude of the people in this department is not friendly, and I encountered problems a few days later when I booked a bus to the airport. I really liked the staff in the restaurant and the housekeeping staff I encountered; they were all cheerful and friendly, but this reception department needs to be retrained.

The new Xcaret compound (Xcaret 2) is a complete joke. It is fully under construction so I’m not sure why they opened it to guests. We have raved about this hotel but no more, we will never recommend it again.

Property and Rooms: The outside is a construction zone. There is scaffolding everywhere and construction tape. The rooms are problematic as well, the room lights kept turning on in 30min intervals through the night. The technician could not fix it so my husband had to move rooms at 3:30AM at night.

Restaurants: The food and service at La Silla needs to be worked on- it is far below standards. The steak served was extremely overcooked (completely gray, not a hint of pink remaining). The best thing was their avocado appetizer. The staff broke the glass bottles TWICE, and the second one the left on the ground for over 30min. One staff member tripped on apiece and simply picked the piece with his bare hand and threw it back to a pile on the ground. These are that staff should be trained to handle properly. I haven’t experienced this at the other “original” compound.

The management’s handling of these issues is nonchalant and incompetent. One of the managers didn’t even show up to meet at the lobby at the time arranged. Later on they wanted to arrange a meeting at our room at 12AM (we have two young kids fast asleep)!

This was our third time returning and will be our last. You grossly overpay for what you get. Everything has gone downhill.

—————

EDITED: After speaking with Maia from the management team at Xcaret Hotel 1, they offered a solution to rectify our stay. I have changed the star rating as a result, which is in between my original and current rating of the hotel.

However, my opinion on the Phase 2 section still stands and it is my hope they can bring it up to the standards of the original hotel compound.

We went there last year on Halloween. Did we had blast . Staff is engaging and work so hard . Housekeeping was spotless. I really have all good things to say . I been to Mexico few times now and this top the list for now. Is it expensive hell yes !!! But worth it. Strongly recommended . They have so many events , activities to do. Gym was next level. Food way too many choices but cleanliness is top notch !!!

Still under construction. Overbooked. 3 hours to check in. 1 hour wait at restaurants. Room temp gets down to 75 minimum. 1.5 hour wait for room service if you order online because there is no answer. No answer at front desk. Could be a very cool place but we are not happy with our stay. For $1000 per night, we were expecting at least decent service and air conditioning that works. We’re going back to the Hyatt Ziva next year.
